We've lived during the time when the adventures of explorers have gone from being recorded on film and hand-powered black & white movie cameras, to where they are now delivered in stunning 8k definition, sometimes even IMAX, from the top of the world to the bottom of the ocean. That we now take for granted being able to see a yawning lion's dental work says as much about the wonder of our times, as it does for our attention spans. Here we present the images that make us stop and consider how wonderful it is that we can experience and record the marvelous life all around us. From the startling blue of Secretary Bird's eyes to the misery of a lion swarmed by flies, from the beauty of a female leopard to a soaring fish eagle, from a riverside baboon posing to the emerald eyes of twin leopard cubs, from a tiny hummingbird to a doting other elephant, these are the images that help remind us that we are but a small part of this beautiful world.
