Thursdays in the Kitchen: Breakfast on the Barge

The French have a way of making even a simple meal into a real treat. This time we experienced their culinary joie de vivre in an elegant plate of sliced fruits at breakfast. Topped with tart local berries, this array of banana, kiwi, mango, strawberries, and figs were artfully arranged for a tantalizing start to our day. But you don’t have to be on a barge or wait for someone to do this for you. Less than two minutes can make that morning eye candy at home.
