Effective: August 20, 2026
Last updated: August 12, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how the Hammond Raffetto Art website (hammondraffetto.art) uses cookies and similar technologies. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes in broader terms how we handle information about visitors and customers.

If you have any question about this policy that these paragraphs do not answer, please email us at support@hammondraffetto.art.

What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences — such as what is in your shopping cart, whether you are logged in, and which pages you have viewed — over a period of time, so you do not have to re-enter them every time you return.

Some cookies are essential for the site to function. Others help us understand aggregate patterns of use, or (when we activate them in the future) support advertising and marketing analytics. All are described below.

How We Manage Consent

Our consent banner appears automatically for visitors in regions where consent is legally required for non-essential cookies — including the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Brazil. Visitors from these regions may accept all cookies, decline non-essential cookies, or manage their preferences in detail before any non-essential cookies are set.

Visitors from California see a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the site footer, in accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act.

Visitors from other regions may not see a banner by default, since applicable law does not require one. All visitors may manage cookies at any time through their browser settings, as described further below.

Categories of Cookies We Use

Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the site to work — you cannot browse, add items to your cart, or complete checkout without them. They do not require consent under applicable privacy law because they are necessary to deliver the service you have requested.

Examples on our site include:

  • Session cookies that keep you signed in during a browsing session
  • Cart cookies that remember what you have added
  • Checkout cookies that carry your information from cart to purchase confirmation
  • Security cookies that protect against unauthorized access to your account or order
  • Customer account cookies (if you have chosen to create an account)

These cookies are set by Shopify, our e-commerce platform, and are typical of any modern online store.

Functional and Analytics Cookies

These cookies help us understand aggregate patterns of site use — which products are viewed, which pages hold attention, how visitors move through the site — so we can improve the experience over time. They do not identify you as an individual to us.

Examples include Shopify's native web analytics cookies, which record aggregate shopping and browsing behavior across all visitors.

Third-Party Integration Cookies

Some of the services we use to run the site may set their own cookies for their specific functions:

  • Judge.me — our product review platform — may set cookies to remember whether you have already submitted a review for a product, or to display reviews consistently across pages.

These are described in the respective third parties' own cookie or privacy policies.

Marketing Cookies

We do not currently run any marketing or advertising cookies on the site. Should we activate them in the future — most likely Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking, or Meta Pixel — this policy will be updated to disclose exactly what is activated and what it does.

When marketing cookies are active, our consent banner will offer visitors in regions where consent is required a clear option to decline them while continuing to shop.

How to Manage Cookies

You may manage cookies in two ways:

Through our consent banner — if a banner is shown to you, use it to accept all cookies, decline non-essential cookies, or set your preferences in detail.

Through your browser settings — every modern browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and others) allows you to view, block, or delete cookies for any site. Refer to your browser's help documentation for specific instructions. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the site from functioning correctly — you will not be able to complete a purchase.

You may also use browser privacy features such as "Private Browsing" or "Incognito" mode, which limit the persistence of cookies to a single browsing session.

Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal to indicate a preference against tracking. Because there is no universally accepted standard for how to respond to these signals, we treat them as one of several inputs to our consent handling. In regions where consent is legally required, our consent banner takes precedence. In regions where it is not required, the practical effect of a Do Not Track signal today is limited, since we do not currently run cross-site tracking cookies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time — most notably when we activate a new integration or marketing service that changes the cookies we use. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes affecting non-essential cookies will also be reflected in our consent banner.
