At The Racetrack

If you've ever been to Death Valley, you know what an extraordinary place it is. And if you've been fortunate enough to visit the Racetrack Playa there, you also know something about the feeling of empty. We visited on a crisp, achingly blue winter day, when the afternoon sun was brilliant and illuminated all the moving rock tracks. This piece, titled Sundial With Minute Hand, is the first of a series. I thought for certain this series would be monochromatic. Now I am not so sure.
