"Fine-er™ Art" Gallery Now Open

Wanaka Tree in Fog The title is a bit of joke. We like to think our artwork fits the “fine art category,” whatever that may mean. But now, we’ve opened a section specifically for our higher end products, made from art designed to be printed large or put on display where you want other people to see and share it. As of today, this includes the images on this page. There will be more to come. Enjoy!Vestrahorn AuroraThe internet is full of aurora borealis images from northern countries, and they are all beautiful. And if you’ve seen the aurora in person, those images can speak to something inside you. We love this one, because the arc over Vestrahorn was unusual that late night, and even more so because of the partial moon’s illumination of the mountain from behind us.. Just beautiful.
Pincer MoonThis was an extraordinary thirty seconds at sunset on Mono Lake.
Clouds & Moon at Sunset Over Mono Lake, CA CoronadoYes, it really looked like that, but the element of time and the fog lent a pastel quality to the water and the colors in the sky. It was a glorious morning.
The Helen Madere Memorial Drawbridge in Rio Vista, CA Savute ElephantThis big fellow in Savute had just pulled himself out of one watering hole before he came charging over to the one we were observing. Just a magnificent animal.
Savute Elephant Wanaka FogShown at top, this is one of our more serene images, almost zen in its mood. The pebbles under the water lead to the pool of light around the tree diffused by the fog.UltramarinesJacksonville Beach in Florida is a classic Atlantic Ocean beach with deep and broad, flat white sand beaches topped with short bluffs and dunes covered in sea oats and grasses. During the day and into the late night, locals and tourists fill bars and restaurants like the Pier Cantina & Sandbar near the famed Jax Beach Pier. Music plays loudly and kids of all ages run and play in the surf.Long before dawn, when all the partiers have drifted off to the 24-hour diners, and the parking lot near the pier is almost empty, the fishermen and surfers begin to reappear. The tide beneath the pier is hushed, moving in swirls, submerging your feet, and painting the sand in the dark. Dawn light that is already brilliant hours away in Africa begins to bleach the sky. Pier struts rise out of the dark water and reach for the light beneath the moon. You're all alone with the light on the sand and water.
