This is one of our favorite images, from a trip to the Tanzanian Serengeti in March of 2020, as the world was beginning to grapple with the emerging pandemic. We watched this mother cheetah for hours as she played with and taught her cubs to stalk prey. She would eventually break and unsuccessfully chase something we could not see, but in this moment, she was locked on to her objective.
