Lake Te Anau is on South New Zealand. We had visited this shoreline once before, but the weather was consistently grim. This day, we tried again before heading off to Mirror Lake in Fiordland National Park. Thank this morning was different. The dawn was brilliant mauve and crimson, and lenticular clouds towered over the mountains cradling the lake. Behind us, reindeer pranced in the sunrise.
