One Bag Travel: Barge Cruising in France

We’re heading to France this month, and except for a few days in the City of Lights, we’ll be spending our time on a barge cruising through Southern Burgundy on the Canal de Bourgogne. We’ve done ocean cruising—loved it; probably won’t repeat it—but we haven’t done river cruising. This isn’t like the river cruises from Tauck, Uniworld, Ama, or Viking. Those are great options for relaxed sight-seeing of multiple cities on larger rivers. And some of those boats are just fantastic. And luxurious. What we’ll be doing is smaller scale. We’ll be the only passengers.
