Sometimes, you've got to pull on your hip waders to get to the image that pulls at you. I learned in 2023 on an imaging trip to the Oregon Coast, that there are two types of outerwear for wet conditions: the type that keeps you dry and everything else. On that trip. a variety of rain pants, gaiters, waterproof socks, and Wellies all failed to keep me dry. In fairness, I was often standing in the surf while imaging. That same trip required my M11 to make a return trip to the mother ship for repair after getting doused by a brief shower.
Anyway, so many images—like this spot beneath the Devil's Elbow—require getting wet. So, bring full on waders. I wear them almost full time in Yosemite. Unless you're swimming of course, though I wouldn't recommend that in winter; I speak from experience.
