One of the reasons that Bora Bora is on so many bucket lists is its water color. Or colors. The exceptionally calm waters around the main caldera and around the atoll across its reefs are extraordinary. There is a lot of beautiful water around the world—the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, the Maldives, Thailand, etc.—but none of them is Bora Bora. And one of the beauties of Bora Bora is that you don't have to get high up to see it. It's right there in front of you standing on the dock of your resort, walking out from baggage claim at the airport, looking out from your villa dock. But if you do get up high, then you are rewarded by something even more intense, almost surreal. While drones have allowed us to see what many of us would otherwise not, there is no substitute for getting up in altitude. Shot from a helicopter, Palette captures the a part of the range of blue, turquoise, aqua, and green that is the best cure for a hangover ever devised!
A note about the media: As with all our artwork, we offer this piece in the medium or media we feel is best suited for its emotional connection. We generally find that most colors and details are most vividly conveyed through our Radiant finish. It's more brilliant and detailed than either acrylic or metal. We also offer this piece in Claritas, our acrylic block format sized 6x8. It is ideally suited for the desktop, kitchen window, bathroom counter, or mantle.
