You Can't Scout In The Dark

This morning, I went up to Altamonte Pass to shoot the wind turbines at sunrise. Forecasts called for a reasonable chance of some high clouds underlit by the sunrise, though that proved overly optimistic. Between difficult rush hour traffic at 5:30 a.m. in the Mountain House area, and me not having scouted the north side back roads off Altamonte Pass Rd., I was fumbling around a bit. But I found a decent location by accident, and came away with enough shots to convince me to go back, when the skyscape is more promising, and I know where I am pointing the car.
